The Arboretum is a popular, much loved landscape for photographers. Casual photography of your visit for personal use is welcome. However, if you are coming to the Arboretum for the purpose of taking posed photographs, a permit is required. The Friends of the Glen Rock Arboretum is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 Tax Exempt organization. We depend on volunteers, memberships and contributions to maintain and preserve the Arboretum. As such, we charge the following fees for the photography permit. There are 2 different levels of professional photography. Email us if you need further clarification. 1. Portrait Photography: Pictures by a professional photographer of individuals or groups
2. Commercial Photography: Photography that is used to help sell, advertise, or market a product, service, person or persons.
NOTE: The Thielke Arboretum is a public park. There may be individuals or groups walking around enjoying the park. There may even be private events (like weddings, etc) happening during your requested time. You are always welcome to take photos at your requested time, but if there are activities going on during your requested time, we will let you know. If you would like to know what is happening at the Thielke Arboretum during the time you would like to take photos PRIOR to purchasing your Photography Permit, please email us at [email protected].
