OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Thielke Arboretum is managed by Friends of the Glen Rock Arboretum (FOGRA).
Our Mission is simple: Protect – Inspire - Renew
This mission guides everything we do, and is further detailed below:
1. Protect and restore the land
- Strengthen conservation and native habitats
- Prevent harmful invasive species
- Maintain existing gardens and natural habitats for wildlife
2. Inspire learning
- Create educational experiences
- Teach best practices / Lead by Example
- Maintain an education curriculum aligned with our mission
- Develop the next generation of stewards
3. Renew the Spirit
- Provide an oasis within the community
- Offer meaningful volunteer experiences
The Arboretum in Glen Rock exists as a source of community pride, providing a nature environment, educational resource, passive recreation and a positive aesthetic experience.
Friends of the Glen Rock Arboretum, Inc. is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 volunteer organization, dedicated to the preservation, maintenance and development of the Arboretum.
