Fishing Rules and Regulation
The pond at the Thielke Arboretum of Glen Rock has a very diverse collection of fish including trout, bluegill, bass, catfish and sunfish. This collection of fish and the annual fishing derby make the pond an exciting place for people of all ages to fish. The mission of the Friends of the Glen Rock Arboretum, Inc (FOGRA) is Protect, Inspire and Renew. This mission includes protecting the wildlife that live in the natural habitats as well as teaching best practices and developing the next generation of stewards. FOGRA has had success with their annual pond stocking program. With this success, there have been a number of concerning issues recently. The Stewards have recently encountered a turtle with barbed hooks in it, a robin tangled in fishing line, and a gosling tangled as well.
